Overview
The "invert galleries" (which you can access in the main navigation bar above) are a repository of photos of small epifaunal invertebrates found in various eelgrass beds and restoration sites around the San Francisco Bay. I've taken all these photos as part of my work as a research assistant in Dr. Kathy Boyer's lab at the Estuary & Ocean Science Center. They are meant to serve as a reference to me and hopefully may be of use to others as well.
The galleries are divided up by the lowest taxonomical class that we identify the animals to.
Many thanks to Dr. Boyer for the opportunity to work in her lab and to the San Francisco Bay Living Shorelines Project and MarineGEO for the funding. Many thanks to Geana Ayala as well for training me on invert identification from day one, and for continuing to train me on a regular basis!
